Where I work in Utah

I’m Portland Palmer, and P2x Scales is just me. I’m from Tooele and I still work out of Tooele. My clients today are in Salt Lake County, Summit County and Tooele County. If you’re a contractor somewhere else in Utah, I’ll still work with you, over the phone and on video.

That’s the whole map. Here’s what each piece means.

01

Home base: Tooele

Tooele is home. It’s not where I go looking for work, and I’m not going to pretend it is. There just isn’t as much work out here as there is over the mountain.

So there’s no Tooele page on this site and I don’t chase Tooele keywords. I do have one client close to home: a handyman business based in Tooele County. That’s it.

02

Salt Lake County

This is where most of my client work happens. One client is a plumbing company working Salt Lake County. Another is a demolition contractor based in Salt Lake City.

The valley is crowded. Lots of contractors chasing the same calls, the same Local Services Ads slots, the same few places in the map. Winning there is about tight targeting and answering the phone, not about outspending the big shops.

03

Summit County and Park City

That demolition contractor is based in the valley but works in Summit County too, so I run marketing for that side of the mountain as well.

Summit is a different animal. Fewer people, bigger jobs, and a lot of owners who aren’t even in town when the work gets done. It needs its own plan, not a copy of the valley one.

The rest of Utah: phone and video

I’ll take Utah contractors in these areas too:

  • Utah County: Provo, Orem, Lehi and around
  • Davis and Weber County: Layton, Ogden and around
  • Washington County: St. George and around

I don’t have pages for them, and that’s on purpose. I don’t have clients there yet. A page that swaps in a city name and says nothing real about the place is the kind of junk I’d tell you not to put on your own site. When I sign a client in one of these areas, it gets a page with real work on it.

Most of what I do happens on the backend anyway: your ad accounts, your Google Business Profile, your website, your call tracking. None of that cares what county I’m sitting in.

What’s the same everywhere

Wherever you are, you get the same deal:

  • You work with me. Not a sales rep, not a junior account manager. Me.
  • You own everything. Ad accounts, website, Google Business Profile, data. If we stop working together, it all stays with you.
  • The same 30-day pilot. One-time setup fee, paid up front and non-refundable. The 30 days start the day your ads go live. The monthly management fee doesn’t start until day 30 or your first qualified lead, whichever comes later. A qualified lead is a lead from my marketing that you send a quote to.
  • No markup on ad spend. You pay Google or Meta directly once the ads are set up. It never runs through me.
  • No long-term contract. After billing starts, it’s month-to-month with 30 days’ notice to cancel.

How much it costs depends on what your business needs. Here’s how pricing works.

Questions

Do you work with contractors outside Salt Lake and Summit County?

Yes. Utah County, Davis and Weber County, and Washington County are all fine, and I work with you by phone and video. Utah is my focus, but I take out-of-state work too.

Why isn’t there a page for my city?

Because I don’t have a client there yet, and I’m not going to fake one. A city page with nothing real on it doesn’t help you and doesn’t help me. When I have work in your area, there’ll be a page.

You’re in Tooele. Why don’t you go after Tooele work?

Because there isn’t as much of it. I’d rather tell you that straight than build a page that pretends otherwise. I still have a client here, and I’ll talk to any Tooele contractor who calls.

Do you only work with contractors?

Contractors and trades are my focus, because that’s the side I know from the field. If you run a different kind of local business, call me and ask. I’ll tell you if I’m a good fit.

Do I need to be near you for this to work?

No. Ads, your Google profile, your site and your tracking all live online. What matters is that I understand your trade and your area, and that you and I talk often.
