I'm Portland Palmer. I was a plumber first.
I’m Portland Palmer, and P2x Scales is me. Just me. I run Google and Meta ads for Utah contractors who want to scale and get a real online presence, and I build quality websites.
Before any of that, I was a plumber for 5 years.
01
Five years in the field
I was plumbing for 5 years before I got into the marketing side of things. While I was in the field, I got to see where companies lose leads and struggle to land jobs.
That’s the part I work on now: the backend, so the right calls come in and don’t get lost. You stay on the hands-on side.
02
Why “P2x”
P2x is Portland Palmer. P, two times. I started it at the beginning of 2026.
03
Why trades
Because I know the hands-on side, and it makes me better at the backend.
I’ve seen agencies tell contractors they know the business when they’ve never touched a tool in their life. I’ve seen agencies sell “quality websites and ads,” then spend 10 minutes with ChatGPT and ship a blanket site and ads that don’t perform. I wasn’t a roofer or an electrician. But I’ve been on the job. I know what a bad lead costs you: the drive, the time, a quote that goes nowhere. So I judge my work by quotes and jobs, not clicks. You can see how that plays out in marketing by trade.
04
Why Utah
I’m from Tooele, and I still live here. Utah is home, so Utah contractors are who I want to work for.
So far I’ve worked with contractors in Salt Lake County, Summit County and Tooele County.

What it means to work with one person
There are good parts and honest parts. Here are both.
The good parts
- You talk to me. The person on the call is the person building your ads, writing your pages and reading your leads. No account manager. No handoff.
- I watch the backend myself. One time a campaign wasn’t linked properly. I found it, got the fix in quickly, and the campaign went back to normal. That kind of thing slips when nobody’s actually looking.
- I treat every business like my own. My success depends on their success. I take every step with care and get it as right as I can before I move on.
- I’ll tell you if you don’t need me. If your ads are already bringing in a happy amount of qualified leads, I’ll say so and send you on your way.
The honest parts
- There’s one of me. If you want a big team in a conference room every week, I’m not that.
- I’m new at this. I started P2x in 2026 and I’ve run 5 accounts so far. That’s the whole résumé. I’m not going to pad it.
- I’m picky. I turn down contractors who aren’t open-minded and willing to scale their business alongside me. It’s not personal. It just doesn’t work otherwise.
Questions
Is P2x Scales really just you?
Yes. No team, no account managers. You work with me.
Were you really a plumber?
Yes, for 5 years, before I ever got into marketing.
Where are you based?
Tooele, Utah. I focus on contractors here in Utah. See where I work.
How do I start?
Start with the 30-day pilot. You pay setup up front, and the monthly fee doesn’t start until day 30 or your first qualified lead, whichever comes later.
